Privacy Policy
We don't collect what we can't protect. This policy explains what NeuronWallet does — and doesn't — do with your information.
Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how NeuronWallet (the site and the open-source desktop wallet) handles information. We are a self-custody crypto project: our design goal is to collect as little data as possible, and to make sure anything sensitive is generated and stored on your own device.
No personal data we collect
NeuronWallet does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide an email address, phone number, name, government ID, or physical address. There is no KYC, no registration, and no backend user database that stores your identity.
Your keys and wallet data
Your recovery phrase, private keys, keystore files, and passwords are generated and encrypted locally on your machine. They are never transmitted to our servers or to any third party. The wallet operates in a fully offline mode for signing; only signed transactions are broadcast to the Nervos CKB public network.
Blockchain data is public
When you broadcast a transaction to Nervos CKB, that transaction becomes part of a public, immutable ledger. Addresses, amounts, and on-chain assets are visible to anyone who knows the address or transaction hash. This is a property of public blockchains, not something NeuronWallet controls.
Optional analytics and crash reporting
By default, the application does not include analytics SDKs, trackers, or advertising frameworks. If you choose to enable optional crash reporting or telemetry, the data is anonymized and limited to technical diagnostics (error logs, stack traces, OS version). No wallet addresses, keys, or balances are included.
Website usage
This website may use standard server logs to provide the site (IP address, browser type, requested pages, referrer). These logs are used for security and operational purposes only and are not linked to your wallet or on-chain activity. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising networks.
Third-party links and integrations
NeuronWallet may link to external resources such as GitHub, Nervos Explorer, block explorers, or hardware-wallet vendors. Those services have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they collect or handle your data.
Security of your information
We follow security best practices for the website and the open-source codebase. However, the most important security measure is your own: keep your recovery phrase offline, use full-disk encryption, and download only from the official download page.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or process personal data, there is typically no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about on-chain data, you can manage addresses and transactions through the wallet itself. For any other request, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL with the effective date noted below. Continued use of the wallet or the site means you accept the updated policy.
